The Accreditation Council holds approximately 11 meetings every year. At its meetings, the Accreditation Council makes decisions regarding the accreditation of study programmes and the provision of programmes in addition to considering a number of different issues and problems of relevance to the accreditation task.
Responsibility
The Accreditation Council has an overall responsibility for ensuring the quality and relevance of higher education. The decisions and reasoning of the Council are accessible to the public, as both the decisions and the accreditation reports are published.
Decision making
The Accreditation Councils decisions are based on a thorough academic assessment made by the accreditation operators ACE Denmark and EVA. In addition, the Council has a special focus upon ensuring quality assurance of the processes and methods employed by the accreditation operators.
